Sandra Krug, RRT, ARNP, CRNA began her profession in the healthcare industry by earning an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. After passing the Board exam, she became credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist. She then returned to school to obtain advanced certification in Respiratory Therapy. This enabled her to take the two Board exams required to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Later, Sandra revisited her college career and earned the Bachelors of Nursing Degree. The pinnacle of her academic endeavors has been ultimately earning her Masters Degree and becoming an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner working as a self-employed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
As a result of working for over 23 years in the healthcare industry, Sandra has experience in a large university teach- ing hospital, a small rural non-profit hospital, home health- care facilities, nursing homes, a large for-profit hospital, a small health center, an outpatient surgical center and a long-term acute care facility. She has worked in many areas of care including Emergency Department, medical-surgical, and Intensive Care. As Sandra worked in the different areas and facilities, she maintained high standards and exceeded continuing education requirements.
She was asked to teach ACLS to employees, served on an Employee Satisfaction Committee, and helped to organize and lead a Joint Commission Preparation Committee. She has been instrumental in creating and implementing policy and procedures at facilities where she has worked. The years of college education, along with her varied experiences in the clinical field, have facilitated Sandra to excel in the Legal Nursing field.
